Christmas decorating is more than just a tree. You can decorate your whole house or just a single room.
You may choose to have a uniform colour theme throughout or have different colour themes in each room.
Where should I decorate?
You don’t have to limit your design to the lounge room (or tree location). Why not consider decorating the following spaces:
- Outdoors (lighting, outdoor areas, front door, windows)
- The kitchen
- Dinning room
- Guest bathroom
- Mantel piece
- Stair wells
- Halls
Need some ideas for themes and colour options?
- Nordic
- White Christmas
- Pink
- Red and Gold
- Silver
- Gold
- Green
- Blue and White
- Snow Flake
- Nature
- Teddy Bears
- Reindeers
- Angels
- Paper
- Music
- Glassware
If you change your colour themes from year to year, you may choose to recycle older pieces and re-paint/re-cover items to save money
HINTS AND TIPS
- Plan your design before starting, it makes it easier to sort what items go where and to identify what you may need to make or purchase.
- The first thing that you need to do is go through what you already have. Do you have Christmas decorations, a tree, some bits and pieces from previous years? If so they are coming around for a second viewing.
